Vasya Kolotusha for The Oscars
Vasya Kolotusha was a key part in the art displayed at The Annual 94th Oscars. He was invited to create his own interpretation of the Oscar Statue inspired by his own appreciation for movies. Vasya had this to say about the piece:
"I think it shows the concept of spreading the ideas, influence and heritage, as Oscars itself always had a big influence in the cinema world and culture in general far beyond US boundaries. I did a lot of sculpting to get the organic feel of the waves, and merge the statuette with the background, used colors that contrast with the gold of the statuette to make the composition more dynamic."
