ROLE: Exterior Wall Mural

H+ Creative artist Vizie brings his graffiti-rooted, geometric approach to solidcore's new exterior mural, now complete on the studio's corner wall at Manhattan Avenue and Meserole Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Vizie anchors the piece with two oversized brackets lifted straight from solidcore's own logo, framing "STRONGER FOR IT." in bold white type set against a black wall and layering the space behind it with offset squares and rectangles in two tones of blue.

The scattered, overlapping blocks read as controlled bursts of energy, a nod to the intensity of a solidcore workout, all held in check by the black field and the bracket frame around them. Working entirely in solidcore's blue, black and white palette, Vizie extends his practice, which spans street walls, fine art and commercial installations, into a full-scale piece built for street-level impact, now greeting Manhattan Avenue foot traffic right outside the studio's front door.
