Coping with COVID-19: FVCKRENDER

Futuristic tech-digital artist Fvckrender is a self-taught creative working out of Montreal. With a defining affinity for sharp architectural geometry, beaming future landscapes and brilliant crystalline arrangements, his renders pay a dark homage to what may eventually reflect our very existence. We ask him questions on how he's been coping with the restrictions of COVID-19 and staying home:

H+: We love a good home office. Tell us about your workspace! F: Woosh, my workspace is so messy right now because we are moving, but next week its gonna be clean as fuck! :) I like my workstation very minimalistic (not like my work) It has to have room to breathe and the imagination to flow :)

H+: How does a daily practice of isolation and social distancing impact your working world? F: To be honest, i dont see much changes, other than not going to restaurants and bars. at this point im just saving more money haha, i already live remotely in british columbia so yeah theres not a lot of changes for me!

H+: Now that we have limited access to nature and social settings, what do you do to exercise your brain and stay inspired?

F: Im grateful to live right next to the ocean and in the forest, im able to enjoy nature as much as i can where i live, so its pretty inspiring.

H+: Have you discovered any hidden talents you can offer to potential clients looking for remote assistance?

F: Not really, but ive been focusing on learning new software to add more value to my own work! This has been an overwhelming and stressful time for so many people.

H+: Can you share some advice for coping while being a creative? F: Create when you can, i feel our generation is trying to create as much as they can, and this can only result in burn out, we need to stop putting that much pressure on our selves if we want to perform for ever.

H+: Everyone needs a solid playlist to listen to while staying on task. Name your favorite music to work to! F: Right now im really into re listening to beastie boys haha
